The goal of New Morning School's Physical Education Program is to provide a developmentally appropriate experience for meeting the diverse needs of all students through exposure to a wide variety of activities and quality instruction.
Students will be involved in individual and group exercises, games, sports, team building activities, and swimming. Student movement (walking, running, leaping, etc.) is a critical component of the program. Large and small pieces of equipment will be manipulated throughout the gym.
The program fosters the development of motor skills, physical fitness, emotional and physical strength, self-confidence, maturity, values, healthful decision making and the pursuit of lifelong health and fitness in a fun and safe environment for all.
